| 2 | P | COLIN | PHOENIX | AZ | Thanks goodness someone has stepped up to the plate.
Total disregard for our culture and the things held dear to us. What in the world is management at BET doing? Educative programs are out of the window, with the exception of some sensible religious programs, thats the only kudos I'll give. 90% of the programs are rap videos that degrade our youth and women's intelligence, or dumb topics and subjects. Which age or class are we trying to reach? Which values are we trying to engrave in the viewers?
Jazz is not even acknowleged, we have to get special cable for BET Jazz. Talking about non acknowledgement of Mrs King, what a slap in the face! Let's not even go there! BET wake up. I am speaking on behalf if a very dissapointed family. With the exception of sunday mornings and early mornings, we are off your channel sad to say! Make us proud. |

| 8 | ronald | turner | gardena | CA | The media has to do a lot better to foster the positive image of young Black people in its mass communication arena. Everybody in the Black community doesn't cater to gangster videos and negative rap music. Let your stations show some upward mobility and good education achieved by Blacks instead of big guns and sparkling diamonds. We're more than that. |

| 18 | Don Corey | Washington | Orange | NJ | I am so done with BET because they have eliminated every informative show to show the raunchy videos that perpetuates the exploitation of African American People. It is absolutely appauling! |

We are not just a sect of dark skinned people who sing and dance all day. I need this station to be more well rounded like other networks. Even MTV has some news segments. |
| 27 | David | Simmons | Bronx | NY | |
| 28 | Willetta | Greene Johnson | Chicago | IL | Apparently, for Viacom, historically significant black leaders don't merit programming. Perhaps it is Viacom that should be boycotted. |
| 29 | Carey | Leslie | Union | NJ | |
| 30 | Brenda | Hoggard | Orange | NJ | videos are degrading to our youth and sends out the wrong message. why not have a positive youth forum with their view on hip hop, rap, education, social issues, etc. |

Johnson sold out, still claiminghe is still president of Bet,which now has a black woman claiming the same thing.
In reality Viacom controls the whole show. |

| 46 | Michael | Edgerton | Philadelphia | PA | Yeah it's sad that BET did not air Rosa Parks' funeral. I watched it in its entirty on CSPAN and the speeches that were made, if listened to, could move a nation. I taped it on VHS and watched a large part of it almost everyday. I called the segment I watch the "Dream TEAM" because of the African AMerican Icons that spoke right behind each other. Minister Farrakan suprised me and taught me something at the same time. It was ironic bc I was taking Anthropology of Religion during that semester. Anyway BET neds to step their game up. It's a shame. |
