We are approaching the one hundred signature mark which serves as the threshold for my formal request to the local council. Once we hit this number I will submit our evidence package to the regional planning office for their immediate review.

Currently, animals are treated diabolically here in Ireland. Let's start to afford them some respect and care and not view them as objects to make money from.

Law without enforcement is pointless, the abuse of animals in this country is as bad as ever. The full enforcemt of the new Law & imprisonment for those who break is urgently needed. The Law also needs to be extended to fully protect cats. Mary Hodgkinson.

we have two amazing rescue dogs which have brought so much happiness to our family. We foster for Dogs trust which gives us a.great sense of achievement giving a young pup a great start. if you have ever experienced the love of a pet you could never be cruel. They must be protected.

Ireland needs serious change in animal welfare, we are years behind the UK and to be the puppy farm capital of Europe is frankly disgraceful.

well done! We need for enforcement with this, all I have seen on social media lately is one story after another about animal abuse. We need to address this problem now and hold the culprits accountable!

I'm from Germany, studying in Ireland and working at a Dog Sanctuary as a volunteer. The almost non-existance of animal protection here is absolutely shocking, as well as the amount of strays here. We live in the 21th century where it is scientifically proven that animals feel the same emotions as we do. Something has to change here.
