Name: Anonymous on Nov 23, 2007State: ILCountry: USComments: meijer is not the only retailer that does this. Go to any local fish store and you'll find bettas in tiny pint sized containers. This perpetuates the idea that bettas thrive in small spaces.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 4, 2008State: ILCountry: USComments: This evening I was shopping at the new Meijer in Urbana, Illinois. I was appalled to see three rows of Betta fish being held captive, not in the typical horrendous pint- sized bowls in which you might usually find them, but in plastic beverage cups! Not just that, but these cups were only half filled with water. This treatment makes me ill and I will continue to sign petitions like this one until it changes.Flag
