The Honorable Ben Chandler for U.S. Senate

The petition

Kentuckians need to defeat Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2008. Mr. McConnell stubbornly continues to support the bloody civil war in Iraq. Just a few days ago, he voted NAY in the historic vote to bring U.S. Troops home from that war. Mr. McConnell’s position contrasts with those of most Kentuckians, who oppose this war. Senator Mitch correspondingly holds Kentucky and the United States captive to the money-grubbing, influence peddling and inept polices of the Bush White House.

We need the strongest possible candidate to defeat big money Mitch in 2008.

Kentucky's favorite son and most influential Democrat, Rep. Ben Chandler, is that candidate. He is a man of principle and honor, and he will be impervious to the McConnell smear machine.
