so a new law is supposedly trying to be passed that bed sharing is child abuse! bed sharing is not child abuse in fact it is natural, this is a sentence from a real news article 'A coroner says the practice of parents sleeping in the same bed as their babies should be considered a form of child abuse following another infant death'. bed sharing is bonding between baby and parents(mother), it is natural, Mums who co-sleep say it's easier to breastfeed and bottle-feed with their baby right next to them, some parents say it makes them more resourceful and creative about finding private time, baby and mum sleep better because they both feel safer, its a maternal instinct, The truth of the matter is that SIDS, formerly known as “cot death,” yes, for all the babies that were dying IN THEIR CRIBS ALONE, is not more common in bed-sharing families. Bed-sharing, in fact, protects against major suspected causes of SIDS. You are much safer when you and your baby just lie down in your bed, nurse, cuddle and sleep. There is a reason why it feels right, why you sleep better and why you and your baby wake up for less time during the night. This is what your baby was born to do. there is no need for cyfs involvement if people bed share, so why waste their time? sign up to this petition and make one of your own ! it is the parents choice whether they wish to sleep in the same bed as their baby or not, and it helps a parent to monitor their child's breathing too!!
