Anybody who really appreciates music and attends shows in STL with any frequency would prefer that he not attend. First couple of times might be a novelty but after a few years of not being able to see a band and instead seeing him smooze his BS with bands touting non-existant radio station and magazine affiliations, makes me wish he had nothing to do with our town.Flag

Me being naive and hungry for airplay, I gave Beatle Bob a CD absolutely free when he said he was a DJ. He was annoying during our show, dancing up on the "stage" which was no more than an area of floor cleared away in a tiny little coffee shop. Over the years I have asked his several times who he works for and which station his show is on, and he never once showed us evidence of even having his own show. Then he stuck us on his annoying daily email list blasts without our consent. When I asked him to remove us, he said "you idiots I play you on my radio show and this is how you repay me?" But the fact is he DOESN'T HAVE a radio show! He uses his bogus DJ status to get free CDs from poor musicians and get into shows for free. If you see this guy at a show, call security and warn your musician friends to not give him any CDs! It's one thing to be a fan, it's another thing to lie about stuff to get in with musicians.Flag
