Comments: I have had my share of bailiff visits they act as if they are the law and threaten and bully force entry and even assault women in the process. They disregard correspondence and telephone calls from solicitors. The police always believe them and dont even listen to you even if it is you who called them in the first place. I have had bailiffs claiming councuil tax going back 19 years sending bailiffs and not giving accounts. I had no choice but to respond to one of their threatening "FLYERS" posted into my letter box, by taking out a High court injunction against the bailiff and their instructing authority. This prompted the authority to write to me saying that I complain in my affidavit that the authority dont send bills or account or any other information when requested. therefore they are sending me an account for the past 10 years and "have instructed the bailiff to corry on taking action against me. I was shocked to find that payment for which I had rerceipts for were not credited and my account showed no payments for the relavent period. Before we were due in court after not being able to supply my solicitor with any of the documents requested, they offered my solicitor to cacel all my outstandin council tax including the current year to avoid going to court. Comments: It's amazing that in a supposed civilized society we have the term "levying distress" upon people in the hellhole of hardship. Aren't they distressed enough Should we not be levying more love, support and guidance instead I'm afraid this society is becoming more and more callous by the day.

Comments: The law must be changed as it is mainly the most vunerable who come into contact with bailiffs and being intimidated and bullied. People must be aware of their rights before coming into contact with a bailiff as most of these rights are lost without the person even knowing about them.
