Comments: interesting to see that alternative crreuncies are gaining traction but we don't need more legal tender laws obliging us to recognize xyz as a form of payment. we need to get rid of the one that obliges citizens to recognize federal reserve notes payment. then, you will be free to use whatever you find works best and dump it for another when it doesn't. that and prosecuting fraud is all the financial regulation that is needed.

Comments: Thanks for the very kind words Ricky! You made my day! And yes, we all need The Stick : everyone of us! By the way, today is James Braid's bhirtday, a man we should all celebrate; 5 British Open wins and a 45 year club professional career at the fabulous Walton Heath GC outside of London. His design work was unparraleled in that era with such beauties as Carnoustie, Gleneagles King and Queens, Blairgowrie, Royal Musselburough, Hoylake (Royal Liverpool), Brora, the fabulous Royal Porthcawl in Wales, and his only effort in the US, arguably our first, St. Andrews GC in New York! He did hundreds of golf courses in the Birtish Isles, most are still in tact today! He's one of my heros and a great pioneer for all PGA Professionals world-wide! Cheers Ricky, Pro

Comments: Any serious arsitt has organized his or her life in such a way that they can live very very lean. Then they take any money they do make and use it to build their art business in small steps. They also find other arsitts for support. They may have to try a variety of art forms and commercialize some aspects. Some things are marketable in large volumes others in small volumes. There is a small market for fine art because we do not educate and enrich the general populace in America so that they have a deep appreciation for all art. Each of us must include enlightenment as part of our marketing strategy.

Comments: Sheldon, you are exactly on the money! The real reaosn why Lincoln had his "Civil War" (a more accurate phrase for this war is "The War of Northern Aggression") is to "preserve the union", not to free the slaves.Take a look at the timeline: in 1860, Lincoln was elected president; later in 1860, South Carolina succeeded from the union; in 1861, 10 other states followed South Carolina; later in 1861, Lincoln started his war, violating the Constitution he swore to preserve, protect, and defend (Amt 10); 1863, Lincoln made his Emancipation Proclamation "freeing the slaves".Now, I find fault with the last one. First of all, it's been two years! Immedately after succession, war broke out. But after two years, Lincoln wants to free the slaves? And the Emancipation Proclamation didn't free the slaves; it only freed the slaves in the Confederacy. Slave-owners in states like Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, and Delaware got to keep their slaves. Ron Paul might have mentioned that, but hind-sight is always 20/20.
