The strike action has ended and the buses are returning to their routes. I am truly stunned that so many of you stepped up to show where the public stood on this. This outcome belongs entirely to the people who spoke out when it seemed like no one was listening.
When a reporter said the majority of people seem to be against the strike, Mr Furbert said unless you talk to all Bermudians you cannot say the majority of the public is against the strike. He said, “Unless you can tell me that 35,000 Bermudians are against the strike, you can’t say the majority. I am not taking that.” Some of the bus drivers present applauded his statement. I started this because I felt like many of us were not being listened to. It is honestly overwhelming to see how many people felt the exact same way. This momentum belongs entirely to you.

Mr Furbert is totally out of touch with reality. Most real Bermudians are sick of this.

SO FRUSTRATING. Why should the public suffer for their politics?

My commute has been a nightmare all week. Stop the strike and get back to work.

This is ridiculous. People have jobs to get to and kids to pick up! We rely on the buses every single day.
