It has come to attention of many parents that numerous teachers throughout the Rockwood School district are teaching our students to use the terms B.C.E. (Before Common Era) and C.E. (Common Era) in lieu of B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini). We, the undersigned taxpayers of the Rockwood School District, request that the Rockwood School District continue to use the terms B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini) as indicators of historical time periods rather than B.C.E. (before common era) and C.E.(common era). We believe the use of "B.C.E." and "C.E." is inconsistent with the traditions and principles upon which our country was founded.

Maria Conway, United States5 years ago Comments: The term "Before Christ" has NO similarity to the christian religion. Because humanity started counting the days, months, and years after "Christ", "Anno Domini", DOES NOT mean that the RSD is teaching children to be christian!
