Bill Pointon | I wonder how many people lost work as a result of Mr Greens actions? Perhaps he should consider repaying them too. Everyone has the right to peaceful protest but not to be vindictive.
Judy Bird | This is really important, it ruined lives at the time.
Stuart Laidler | Personally, I hope they bankrupt him. I'd be very satisfied if he was reduced to spewing his vitriol in the street like every other broken, failed godbotherer.
Peter Reynolds | This man is laughably pathetic. The legal system does not exist to further your own personal agenda. Welcome to civilization!
Anonymous | To top off the stupidity of Green's original viewpoint, he's asking Thompson and Thoday to waive the legal costs of someone who tried to prosecute them-- not through humility and reconciliation, but through insulting them on the grounds of how much they earn, as if prosperity invites prosecution. Very persuasive, I'm sure. Of course, Christians are supposed to embrace material poverty, so really, everyone wins if Green coughs up.

Tom Rees | This is a just come uppance for a man who uses legal threats to harass people going about their legal business.

Bruce McCrae | We must stop religious fanatics of any brand imposing their spite on our BBC. Do not, please, allow Mr Green to get away with his attack on Culture and Freedom.
Julie McPherson |
Ross Craig | I hope artistic freedoms will be upheld.

Anonymous | It was clearly the will of God that the court found against him. Now it's time to cough up. Praise be!

David Evans |
Mike Adams | this man is a fool
Alan Sharp | Please, BBC, bankrupt this odious little shit of a man, and then go after each and every one of those who helped and supported him in his action and bankrupt them as well so that those of us who enjoy the right of free speech in this country can continue to watch excellent entertainment without the fear of self-righteous bigots trying to dictate to us what is and is not suitable for our spiritual wellbeing.
Andy L | The man's organisation threatened to kill members of the BBC. He should be bankrupted, and then raped up the bum because there's a chance he might enjoy it a little bit. And then the memory of him enjoying it would stay with him for the rest of his miserable hypocritical life
Julian Blundell | Mr. Green seems to think that he is doing Gods will on earth, perhaps this is Gods way of telling him that this is not the case. He should pay up.
Leandro Sousa Fazio | Stephen Green should know that he is responsible for his actions.
A.S. Wigand |
eileen o'connor |
I Johnstone | Why don't we make him a martyr then and keep everyone happy? :D
Edward Edmondson |
Chris Cooper |
| 640 | Ian Smith | Dip him in chocolate and throw him to the lesbians. It's either that or fuck him up the arse with barbed wire, his choice!
Isn't it interesting that no names appear on this petition? Was that intended so that the small number of members in CV could post repeated demands that this shit of a man be let off the hook? And isn't it funny that this petition has such a large number of people opposing the original arguement making it pretty invalid (although I'm sure in typical fashion CV will just quote they got x amount of signatures, conveniently ignoring why a lot of people posted).
Wouldn't it be ironic if Mr Green became bankrupt then developed cancer and had to rely on a cancer charity that he had stopped accepting a donation because it was from the Jerry Springer Opera company because they'd been emotionally bribed to refuse the money? "I'm sorry Mr Green, we don't have the funds to be able to help you". That would be poetic justice.
If there is a God then this guy will be burning in hell for gross misrepresentation. |
Paul Holloway |
andrew Hanuman |
mike | I am sure that God will provide for Mr Green, so rather than the general public paying through our licence fee to support Mr Greens hypocrytical tyrades, let's just sit back and wait for divine intervention, be it in the form of manna from heaven or better still a rather large lighting bolt : )
Neil Gooding |
Duncan Wilkins |
Andreas Thorsen | Bankrupt the idiot.
Thomas Paterson | Just see it as a tax against the wilfully stupid - pay up !!
Chris Neill |
Ben Woolhead |
A. Tyson | He should ask all the idiots who annoyed theatregoers outside the performances to put their money where their mouths are and fork out to pay these costs.
