AlisonKeffordStephen Green was promoting decency, respect for the Lord God and protecting His name from slanderous obscene mockery. He should be rewarded and not made bankrupt

StevePaynterRich, powerful and anti- christian. Hoping for an attitude of graciousness from such seems a little far fetched to me. But hope springs eternal. I think the legal challenge was unwise but sign the petition in hope that wining the case will be enough for Mark and Jonathan.

DennisSmithI do not know if this petition will assuage the revenge of these people but I sign it in support of Stephen Green, a man of courage and principle.
CharlesStammersThe play portrays Christ as a sick and depraved figure. It is the perpetrators of lies who should be paying up, not those who campaign for truth.

GeraldElkinsI was one who was not supportive of Jerry Springer the Opera being aired. Perhaps the BBC should have taken the views of viewers before showing the production. The costs being demanded of Mr Green, who has stood up for freedom of speech, are a sign of injustice towards those who have a personal faith.
MauriceFairallGiven our national and precious-won " freedom of expression for the individual " to share his / her thoughts of conscience, I respectfully urge and request that Stephen Green's ' liberty of conscience ' be duly recognised in his sincere Christian beliefs, and that the full and total waiver of the legal costs against him to be duly implemented! Thank you very much!

AnonymousAnonymousThis is terrible. I hope the Muslims take up this case as some I know have said they will do. Perhaps the courts will listen then - or is it just Bible believing Christians who try to live in peace with their neighbours who are trodden underfoot like this?
ElizabethBiddulphOne day those who mock our God will have to stand before His throne and give an account of themselves. Jesus told us that His followers would be persecuted in the way Stephen Green is being persecuted by the anti-God brigade, but Jesus assured us all that God would reward His true followers and cast down to Hell those who were against HIM.

AnonymousAnonymousI agree. I feel it would be very wrong to make him pay the cost, when he was only going to court for his convinctions. I feel that a bit of mercy should be shown and that the case be dropped.

JennyMasonI thank Steven Green for standing up for righteousness and i do not thing he should be asked to pay this bill The BBC is supposed to be a servant to the people and not abuse their position
BarryMillerSteve Green is standing up for Christian principles. Principles on which this country is founded and which are being steadily eroded. No wonder we are in the mess we are at the moment! Waive the fee in Jesus' name

John DavidPiperWith British society in meltdown in part because of its permissive attitude towards filthy entertainment, Stephen is a man of great integrity determined to keep us aware of the Biblical standards on which the moral fibre of this nation was once built. He deserves every encouragement and should not be victimised by this totally dispropotionate fine.

SUNILRAHEJAIt would seem a gross injustice to expect Mr Green to personally have to be forced to pay on an issue that has had such widespread support with the public and which the BBC has chosen to ignore

SamuelBurtI agreed with the court action and particularly agree with the last paragraph of the petition. I understand that courts have to act to discourage petty actions but consider that this was a principled court action.
JohnFosterI am appalled at the outcome of this court case and I stand with Stephen Green in his efforts to proclaim the Word of God and speak the truth in a nation where most people no longer know what truth is.
HarrySmallI a signing this as many others have not because I believe it but in order to say that an arrogant bigotted buffoon like Green deserves everything he gets. the sooner he's bankrupt the better.
