StanEarleIt upsets me that stephen green has to pay any costs at all. In making a stance against blasphemy stephen Green was acually trying to stop these men from being answerable to God for showing such an evil play. Stephen green in my opinion was trying to do them good, and he should be rewarded for it. God loves these men, I hope they soon realize it in Jesus name.
ChristineHudsonThe big and powerful still call the shots and victimise in the name of 'freedom'- shame on you both!
JeffGreenBy chasing this money the BBC and friends are acting the part of the sheriff of Nottingham, looking for their pound of flesh! As a public body they should not attempt to bankrupt a member of the public just because they happen to disagree with them. It is the BBC that has changed it stance not Steven Green; therefore it is only proper that the new stance should be challenged by a member of the general public. I for one are happy for my licence fee to go to pay the BBC costs.

JohnLewisI don't agree with everything Steven Green does or says but I abhor Jerry Springer - The Opera and totally support the action against the BBC and Avalon. I grieve at the dishonouring of the name and person of Jesus Christ.

DavidMalindineI have no objection to the BBC paying for costs out of the money paid from my licence fee. The BBC squander our money in so many ways I would have thought that they would just have dipped into the 'pot'. This is a vindictive action that brings the BBC into public disrepute.

ElisabethDavieIf Stephen Green, the Director of Christian Voice, is made bankrupt it will be another nail in the coffin of Freedom of Speech in this country. These men can afford to be generous and to exact their "pound of flesh" and not to waive their costs when they know that it means little to them and everything to a Ministry dependant upon donations reflects one of the reasons why thiscountry is in meltdown. How would they react had they been taken to court for blaspheming Allah. I think that they regard Christians as fair gameand Muslims as people to be feared.
GillianReidIf the BBC had listened to what was said by those who protested in advance of the foul screening of Jerry Springer the Opera things would never have come to this point. People would not dare to slight Islam in this way for fear of the consequences. Christians have lain down politely for too long!

JohnSunderlandIts a disgrace that a so-called Christian country has allowed you to get away with this blasphemy. You should forego your costs iin sincere penitence. If I had to pay a licence I would refuse
christinejonesthe BBC appear to be pretty vindictive when it comes to Christians in general although many of us Christians contribute towards your FAT CAT wages. SHAME ON YOU AND NASTY MR SPRINGER- DROP THE CHARGES AND GET SOME MORALS -GOD CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT.

BarbaraRichardsI am appealing to the BBC to step in here and to not allow Stephen Green to be beggered by these crippling court costs. Stephen Green is a man of good heart and upright character, whose only agenda is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He strongly opposed the Jerry Springer Opera because he cares so much for this country, that we should not offend our Creator by blasphemy. Mr Green was acting for the good of all in this country, and not from any personal gain or self interest. The BBC promote godliness every day, with their Daily Worship on Radio 4, and I just plead with the BBC to intervene in this dispute, for the sake of our Creator, not to allow this man of God, Stephen Green, to go bankrupt.
