Name: Esther McIlveen on Nov 3, 2009Comments: I am deeply grateful that someone who knows the Baynes personally, such as Ron Unruh, who not only performed their wedding, but knows them as a family and is willing to act so that justice will ensue. I cannot fathom the pain this couple have gone through as strangers take care of their children and they are kept under suspicionFlag

Name: Tonya on Nov 3, 2009Comments: Before we allow children protective services to take our children we need to make sure these doctors who are playing gods have done their differential testing, which is allegedly required. Give these innocent parents their children back! And demand from our doctors those differential tests they are not doing before making wild claims of abuse for every childhood injury these days.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 3, 2009Comments: This travesty of justice cannot be allowed to continue. Three children have been placed in separate foster homes for two years, and are in danger of being adopted out due to the length of time in care. If it were not for the bravery of this family to go public, the permanent loss of their children due to misdiagnosis and Ministry bumbling, this would have already occurred. Criminals get their day in court far sooner. So why, with a family with no negative history and a clearly disputed diagnosis of shaken baby, are the children and parents continually being ignored It is clear the Ministry is hoping to wear down this family and is focused on "winning" and justifying the removal. If this injustice is happening to this family, it is also happening to many others.Flag

Name: K & S Thomas on Nov 3, 2009Comments: Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty" If the RCMP has cleared the family of any liability, what right does the BC Ministry of Children have to take away their children Unfortunately, the foster care system has many flaws. Some of the children put under their care end up abused within the system - too frequently. Unless the parents are found guilty of abuse, the children should remain in their care. Where is the freedom that Canadians boast so much about How traumatizing for the children to be removed from the family home!Flag

Name: Christina England on Nov 3, 2009Comments: Too many parents are being falsely accused of child abuse. Not all parents are child abusers, the medical profession needs to consider all avenues possible, including possible genetic conditions and adverse reactions to vaccines before accusing parents of child abuse. Name: Frances Duncan on Nov 3, 2009Comments: I have known this family for years and wholeheartedly support the Baynes family in having their children returned to them. As a Canadian, I am ashamed of the position the Ministry of Family Development has taken against them. I believe this is child abuse, let alone the resulting effect on the whole family. These children need to be with their own family. Please return them immediately.Flag

Name: Maurice McElrea on Nov 3, 2009Comments: This family need to have their concerns addressed and their family reunited. From what we have read there has been no indication that these children are in danger in the home of their birth parents. A lot of time has gone by and they should now be getting a response from the powers that be.Flag

Name: Canede Wong on Nov 3, 2009Comments: It sounds like the Ministry of Children has done a very poor job. If this story is true and the Ministry does not rectify it, the minister responsible should resign and let some other more capable person to do the job. If there are other hidden/untold reasons, then please let me/us know.Flag
