Dear friends of Psychology Tomorrow and Bay Area start-ups,
We have worked hard to raise money for an important project involving holistic mind and body therapy modalities, united in a community hosted by our magazine.
In October we posted our project and collected bids from around the world. We selected our top developer choices, spoke with each of them, narrowed it down to our top two choices and, finally, selected the wrong company.
We contracted Bay App Studios to build a fully functional website and were pleased when they offered us a mobile app in addition to our website free of charge.
Within the first week of development it became clear the we had been tricked. The developers showed us their progress on the mobile app but when asked about the website, the essential focus of our project, they apparently were not briefed.
We immediately cancelled the project but, despite Bay App Studio's 15 cancellation policy, our contacts David and Nicholas are refusing to return our deposit, claiming that they have fully satisfied our requests. Trust us: we are not satisfied!
