Syracuse Meadowbrook Rd. for Walkers

The petition

Petition to Onondaga County and Syracuse city lawmakers to provide facilities for outdoor exercize (walkers, joggers, skaters, bikers)
by:

* banning motorists from Onondaga Lake Parkway
all day Sunday, from sunrise to sunset, not only
from 9 AM to Noon as currently, and

*banning motorist from Meadowbrook Drive along Barry Park (i.e., from 800 Broad St. to the end of Westcott St.) on Saturday, Sunday and Monday holldays in 2007.

The longer closure of Onondaga Lake Parkway and
Meadowbrook Drive in Barry Park would offer a safe and convenient outdoor exercise opportunity for families with children, joggers, runners, boarders, bikers, skaters, walkers and pedestrians.

Members of Friends of Barry Park and neighborhood residents are available to set up and remove the weekend DPW road barricades.
