Now i'm sure everyone knows that 2 horses died in the 2011 Grand National.... That makes 20 horses in the last 11 years and a total of almost 700 race horses that have now died in action in the last 4 years. Turns out the horses that died this year, Ornais broke his neck and Dooney's Gate broke his back. This race should have no future in a civilised country, it is just another inhumane sport which exploits horses for the entertainment of us human beings. Not only do the horses who race face an inevitable death, but racing horses are bred to create winners and around 60% of those don't make the 'cut' and are simply shot or slaughtered for meat. So sign this petition to help Ban Horse Racing, especially the Grand National, as it is a cruel inhumane sport that exploits and causes the death of too many horses every year!
