Name: Daniel Coles on Jul 14, 2005State:Country: UKComments: While I don't know a lot specifically about this bill, I am concerned by reports that it's fairly vague and open to interpretation by lawyers. The last thing that I would want is for any religious groups to start taking other groups to court, simply because they were offended by their teaching. Religions cannot be forced to be politically correct, and there will always be elements of their teaching that will cause some offence to people who believe otherwise. We need to be careful not to set religions against each other in the courts. Only the lawyers would profit through this.Flag

Name: Robert Parker on Jul 16, 2005State:Country: UKComments: By practicing our faith as Christians, it would appear that we could fall foul of the law, as we reach out to other people in love, as Jesus did - not 'hate'. We could, therefore be discriminated against while 'enjoying our freedom to express ourselves' as many different and diverse groups also want to exercise their freedom to do what they want. This seems that freedom is being defined rather specifically and may actually cause us as Christians not to have freedom.Flag

Name: Terry Fellows on Jul 17, 2005State:Country: UKComments: I don't want this bill to go through because it will take away our freedom to express what we believe to be true as Christians in this country and could lead to misinterpretation of what the bible and the gospel really means and says, which in essence is to love and respect each other and turn from things which we know to be evil and which would harm other people. The message of the bible is one of love, as Jesus said,"Love God and love one another as you love yourselves." Thank you.Flag
