ban rebates force real pricing

The petition

Manufacturers have for several years forced consumers to spend for products advertised as "on sale" when in reality the consumer is expected to read fine print, with specific instructions and send in information to receive money back often at least 10 weeks later. The manufacturers utilize rebate companies that are not always consumer reliable.
Legislation needs to be implemented to force manufacturers to apply intended discounts directly to the consumer through retail pricing or actual specials.
