We the Players of the UGL have found just cause in requesting from our Executive Board the complete and final ban of the player “Jennifer Parker” on the grounds of repeated and flagrant violations of the Purpose of the UGL, as listed below. -Serve as a forum of exchange for ideas, issues and opinions of the outdoor gaming community. During her time as a member of this organization, Jennifer Parker has been notoriously unwelcoming of the ideas of others, and her violent disregard for others has led to one department completely shutting down, depriving the UGL of a wealth of ideas from that source. -To support and encourage positive community growth in the community of the Players. -To be a liaison between the Players and Ball State University Administration. Jennifer’s attitude toward many people has been stated as “Deal with me as I am, or go [censored] yourself!” and it is widely held that her confrontational demeanor does not, and will not ever support or encourage positive community growth. -Provide the Players with opportunities to interact and work with people outside of their normal social circles in a challenging and team building environment. The above stated attitude toward others has been repeatedly cited as a reason for decreased attendance at UGL events, and many that have stopped attending events report “not wanting to deal with Jennifer Parker.” The UGL’s continued invitation of Jennifer Parker’s attendance at events is directly impacting its ability to invite other players, because they do not feel they are allowed positive opportunities while she is present. As much as we understand a violation of the all-inclusive spirit of our organization, there comes a time when the continued inclusion of one individual threatens the ability of others to feel as included. As such, We the players have decided that in order to preserve that spirit for current players and future players to come, a need has arisen to revoke the membership of one individual. In this situation, the betterment of the whole community can outweigh the desires of an individual. It is with this in mind that we invoke our rights endowed by the UGL constitution, Article XI, section 2.2 to declare that the Executive Board is in violation of the Purpose of UGL, in its continued invitation of Jennifer Parker’s participation in official events. We hope that the Executive Board we elected will hear our plea, and address our grievances accordingly.
