Name: Anonymous on Feb 11, 2007Comments: in general, the inflated ego and the whole "i'm a muscle man with a gaint power trip and i can be a dick hole to everyone who is a smaller bodybuild to my own" attitude, of #111 and many other bouncers is partly the reason why i dont attend these clubs. also. is anyone aware that after 2am, next is required to refuse entry to public, yet i've seen people pay "a bribe of $20" to the "hotdog man" to get it. the money doesnt go to the club, a cut goes to the hotdog man, and a cut goes to the bouncers.Flag

Name: Bronte on Feb 11, 2007Comments: I agree with most of what's being said although, I must add that there are some really great guys working at these clubs who've always looked out for everyone. Though, I don't agree with many decisions made by these "authority" figures. I've seen some pretty rusty behaviour going on throughout these nights. But to be even more specific, I think something should really be done about how easy it is for any pig-headed, power-tripping drop out loser to get their security/ crowd control licence. I'm all for some changes being made. Why not start hereFlag

Name: Pat on Feb 12, 2007Comments: The girl that started this petition is a long time friend of mine and my family. Everyone who knows her that goes out knows that she is responsible and always looks out for the safety of her friends. Not one to jump the gun with something as important as someones income - their job, I know that Aymi has very valid reasons for doing this. Being called up in the middle of the night from the city asking for a lift because a male has harrased a young girl and then hit her and the security guards want nothing to do with it and pushed the girls out into the street to face the attackers on their own is ABSOLUTELY appauling behaviour. The police were called and never showed up (another story) but one would say that the bouncers should have resolved the issue a long time ago before the situation become so out of hand. This particular bouncer should have his license revoked. It's about protecting the people who go out, not using your job as an excuse to treat them like walking punching bags. If our children are going to be going to these clubs, drinking and lets face it God only knows what else - the least we can hope for is some responsible behaviour and treatment from the bouncers. So that we can sleep safe hoping our children are in good hands. Not the hands of an over excited boxer. Congratulations to the kids who are doing something about it. Should see more people being so productive.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 12, 2007Comments: I smiled when I saw this. My experiences on New Year's Eve were attrocious because of the moronic bouncers at Click-Click, whom I was disappointed to see at Next the following Thursday. Number 111 kicked me out of Click-Click for paying for two drinks, and being short-changed 25 Squid. He then proceded to grab my neck and push me down the stairs, despite my willingness to leave on my own accord. He is fortunate not to have been taken to court. I hope, for the sake of the Royal Hotel, that they consider a complete change of their security staff. They jeopardise the security of their patrons for one, and the future of the business as a result. Make a change!Flag

Name: Christopher on Feb 12, 2007Comments: Bouncers are employed to maintain the well-being and security of patrons, effectively giving owners of clubs peace of mind that disturbances will not harm the reputation of their venue. Having read the above, it seems clear that Bouncer 111 is, in fact, causing exactly what he is being paid to prevent. The discontinuation of his employment would not just be a decision for the benefit of patrons, but a correct business decision. Make the change, Royal Hotel. You're employing on a man who may be losing you more than money.Flag
