The petition

This petition is to call for the release of Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh. It also calls for due process of law, to grant her bail, to protect Hasina's right to free speech and to guarantee the rights and safety of her supporters to assemble and demonstrate against her detention.

Sheikh Hasina, is the daughter of the nation's father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, she is also the former Prime Minister and the current President of the Awami League. A secular party committed to a brighter future for Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina's arrest on corruption charges is widely believed to be nothing more than a political strategy by the current military backed government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to destroy the image and support for the countries two leading parties.

This petition is to lodge our opposition to the current misguided strategy of 'minus-two' by all those that sign it. It also calls for the international community to do more to protect political figures, such as Sheikh Hasina, during the current crisis.
