FOBT stands for Fixed Odds Betting Terminals. They have become hugely popular among gamblers in traditional bookmakers shops, such as William Hill, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, and Coral, so much so that they now compete with casinos for punters! They offer many games, the most popular being roulette. Similar to roulette at online casinos, the winning number is generated using a random number generator (RNG). The method of beating them is thus through finding faults in the RNG used to determine the winning number. ________________________________________________________ PROBLEM ONE. HIGH STRRE BETTING SHOPS ARE DISREGARDING CURRENT LEGISLATION: * The 2005 Gambling Act incorporates the Licensing Objectives of socially responsible and fair and open gambling. * Betting shops continue to flout these objectives. * The Regulator and the Government are doing nothing to stop this or to protect the public. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROBLEM TWO. GAMES ON BETTING SHOP TERMINALS ARE WHOLLY UNFAIR COMPARED TO THE CASINO: * The theoretical amount per bet that players lose on many bets is higher. * The actual percentage of player cash-ins that players lose is higher. * The probability that players lose all their available cash on a session is higher. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROBLEM THREE. BETTING SHOP TERMINALS EXPLOIT PLAYERS AND TURN THEM INTO COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS: * There is inadequate age verification and sobriety verification of players. * There is often no easily accessible cash-out button, making it harder for a player to quit the terminal. *Terminal Fantasy Races use software that generally fixes the results so there are more lower-pay-off winners than by random distribution. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROBLEM FOUR. BETTING SHOP TERMINALS FORCE PLAYERS TO BET STAKES WHICH ARE TOO HIGH: * Some bet minimums are too high. In Nevada, 98% of gambling machines have a lower minimum bet than these terminal bets. * Some bet maximums are too high. Some provincial casinos have certain bet maximums lower than on these terminal bets. ________________________________________________________ These machines turn normal people into compulsive gamblers, Liar's, Cheats, Thieves etc... Thay also break up homes, family's, and make peole loose everything they ever worked for and love. IT IS TIME TO GET THESE THINGS BANNED FROM ALL BOOKMAKERS JUST LIKE THEY DID IN IRELAND.
