Name: Jennifer Crissman on Nov 26, 2008Comments: This is absolutey disgusting. How can it be ok to have melamine in infant formula This same toxin is what killed babies and made others sick in China. This is just another case of, money is more important than the health and safety of our children.Flag

Name: Nita Hunt on Nov 26, 2008Comments: Zero tolerance and now it is OK Speaking from experience with "cyanuric acid - trace amounts" found in our NuproSupplements by Expertox Laboratory in 2007, our dogs got sick and had never been sick like that before (cyanuric acid is a byproduct of melamine). The statement released by the FDA is very similar to that of the Pet food recall! Dr. Burkholder informed me per telephone converstation this past month, that there is a "No Tolerance for Melamine in Pet Food" but now others at the FDA consider Melamine products to be safe and not enough research on cyanuric acid I have my data of laboratory results, veterinary bills and findings so if a trace amount of cyanuric acid made my dogs sick, then the effects to babies would be worst especially the long term effects. I think Dr. Burkholder needs more support from his higher management decision makers at the FDA, as well as other scientists that support his statement. After all, we are what we eat!Flag
