Name: Michelle Bevan on Sep 27, 2005Comments: get used to it smokers and stop whinging, the government are banning smoking in public places were you eat and were children are, most places in europe have already implimented it in many places already. last time my 2 year old went to match someone ignorant smoker burnt his coat sleeve with not so much as a sorry when i challenged him.you are like the police one bad copper gets a bad name for all the coppers. a nasty comment said a 2 year old should not be at the match, shallow minded thats what they are children are the future if they do not go young how do people expect children to get into the game, obviously this person has no kids or has no time for them (selfish ) get used to it smokers the end is nigh.... i dont remember the debate being so big last week over the fuel strike maybe the government should increase the tax on cigarettes to help pay for the NHS costs for patients that are ill from smoking this will release valuable money for non self inflicted illnesses.Country:Flag

Name: Philip Ion on Sep 28, 2005Comments: I'm fed up with this blase attitude that so many smokers have. "I know it's bad for you." THEN WHY ON EARTH DO YOU PERSIST IN DOING IT, THEN! I'd have thought that knowing the effects alone would be enough to put people off! I can't believe they used to think smoking was healthy! OK, they might not have known about the specific health risks, but it should've been obvious that breathing in smoke would be anything but healthy! It's a filthy habit, and the more that can be done to stop it the better. In fact, if it wasn't for it being too difficult to enforce - plus adding weight to our 'Nanny State' reputation - I'd be quite happy to see smoking banned altogether!Country: UKFlag
