In December of 2011, The Record newspaper reported that “Regional councillors agreed Tuesday not to ban shark fin products.” With sharks being heavily fished around the world, I found this notion unacceptable. As such, I have started a campaign to try to get the Region to ban the sale of shark fins. Given the ecological importance of these animals, we must protect them at all costs. Please help me to try to convince Regional Councillors that this is indeed worth doing. Thank you for your time and support.
