Name: John Hillier on Jan 21, 2013Comments: As an individual that was raised to learn how to hunt I fully understand the repercussions of improper hunting that is either inhuman or hunts a species to extinction. Observing how some cities/countries still allow shark fin soup is appauling. stripping a living creature of its way to move then tossing it alive back into the ocean is cruel and not what I thought our culture is about. Please stop the inhuman fishing of sharks and ban shark fin soup. Thank you.Flag

Name: Mel Ashton on Jan 21, 2013Comments: For the sake of the future survival of all sharks please put a stop to shark hunting. It is wrong and barbaric, should this continue sharks will become extinct. Extinction is forever. Please stop this.Flag

Name: David J O'Neill on Jan 21, 2013Comments: To be fair, I will start by admitting I do not know the cultural concerns that have arisen from the banning of Shark Fin Soup. I do believe the human race has a respsonsibility to our planet; I would hope that as a race, we would each weigh the importance of cultural practices versus the planet's needs. If we want to continue to enjoy this beautiful planet for years to come, then the human race needs to take a close look at the impact we are having on our ecosystems and that may mean reviewing cultural practices and adjusting accordingly.Flag
