Many cough syrups found OTC in pharmacies do also contain a small percentage of promethazine, which makes this chemical exposed to the younger generation. This is #5 on the Most Abusive Drugs in America. It has led to several OD deaths in the U.S., which is why it should be banned.

Promethazine production includes using several harmful chemicals. The gas omitted by the production causes the environment to be affected. This leads to global warming as well as air pollution from production factories.

Teens who abuse drugs usually take part in this because of personal/family problems at home or just to impress others. This causes other teens, adults, etc. to get influenced for drug use as well. Promethazine is normally mixed with sprite as seen in many music videos today. It is known as Purp Drank.
