Our great State of Michigan is known as a wonderful place to live, work, and, play. With 11,037 Inland Lakes, 4 Great Lakes, 36,000 miles of Rivers and Streams, 12,000 miles of Cold Water Trout Streams, plus thousands of Ponds and Wetlands, you could say that we as Michigan Residents are truly blessed! As more and more information is being collected on the devastating effects of Coal Tar Based Asphalt Sealants on the Environment, our Children, and our Communities, we can no longer sit back, turn our heads, and in good conscious do nothing. With Austin, Texas being the first City to outright ban Coal Tar Sealants, Washington, D.C. soon followed, along with The State of Washington; County bans in Dane, Wisconsin; Montgomery County, MD; and Suffolk, NY. 28 communities in The State of Minnesota have banned Coal Tar Based Asphalt Sealants, and a Bill was just introduced for a statewide ban. Many Communities in 7 States have outright bans, with communities in 13 states enacting restrictions of some sort. Rep.
