Please let Costco know that it is time to stop sampling nuts and nut products at their stores! With nut allergies running rampant, it is important for people to be safe while shopping at Costco. With Costco frequently sampling nuts and products containing nuts at their stores, accidental ingestion and cross-contamination is a huge concern for the nut allergic population. In 2010, is was reported that 1 in 13 Canadians have a severe food allergy - the leader in that being peanut and tree nut allergies. Also in 2010, it was found that 8% of children under age 18 in the United States suffered from a severe food allergy. These numbers are quickly rising across North America at an alarming rate. Please help raise awareness about this important cause and let Costco know that you want them to stop sampling nuts by signing this petition.
