Balls Bluff Elementary School - Playground

117 Signatures Goal: 100

Would you like Balls Bluff Elementary School to receive funding for a new playground? The town is deciding how to allocate funds that were targeted for a park in Potomac Crossing (at the end of Shanks Evans). Unfortunately, the builder was let off the bond before building the park that was promised to the community. The town sued the builder and received a small portion of the original funding... approximately 600k. Because the funding isn't sufficient to build the original park, the town is accepting input from the community in order to determine the best use of the funds. One possibility is to partner with the elementary school and build a new playground (which would only take a portion of the funding). Sign this petition to show your support and come to the community meeting! Here is the posting from the town on the Ida Lee website: The Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a series of community input meetings in order to determine the best use of recreational funds that have been designated for Potomac Crossing Park and/or the surrounding community. Information from these meetings will be used to formulate a recommendation that can be presented to the Leesburg Town Council. Meeting Schedule: Wednesday, January 30 10:00am Ida Lee Recreation Center, Lower Level Wednesday, January 30 7:00pm Balls Bluff Elementary School, Library Thursday, January 31 7:00pm Bals Bluff Elementary School, Library
