Name: Helen Elias on Mar 29, 2010Address:Postcode :Comments: I really like the design of the bridge. It looks elegant and modern - it will be refreshing to see a piece of good design in our town that represents this period in its development. Bradford has a long history, recorded through cumulative architecture and structures from every key age since Saxon times. We need something for the 20thC as well to keep the story of the evolving town moving forwards, something that reflects our life and times as a vribrant community, not just a place that has been preserved in aspic for tourists. The raking column of the bridge will look great when viewed against the back drop of the industrial mill buildings. The deck is slender and elegant and the detailing fine. It is a well engineered bridge, and deserves to be supported.Flag

The bridge will be such a positive asset AND a splendid statement. The benefits the bridge will bring far outweigh the negatives - if indeed there any negatives. I can't think of any.Flag

Name: Paul Streeting on Apr 12, 2010Address: 41, Loddon WayPostcode : BA15 1HGComments: We need a bridge as using the present town bridge for pedestrians is a danger. However the problem of traffic in the town also needs to be looked at very deep too! HGV traffic going over the town bridge often comes very close to people walking over the bridge.Flag

Name: Andrew Joynt on Apr 14, 2010Address:Postcode : BA15 1EWComments: The proposed bridge design is elegant, visually lightweight and transparent. The use of core ten is well considered and an appropriate response given the sites industrial heritage. I hope the detailing and materials used in the main development (including the public realm) are of a similar high quality.Flag
