In October 2006, the Ridgefield School District eliminated all flyers from all organizations in the school backpacks. They voted on this, but did not ask for our vote or opinion about this. Some of these organizations are suffering from lack of exposure of the programs they offer. The types of programs they offer are educational and/or beneficial to our children's health and well-being. Many of these organizations also support our school events and fundraisers as well. If you would like to receive flyers in your child's backpack or email flyers through your PTA membership from organizations like Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Woodcock Nature Center, Boys & Girls Club, Keeler Tavern, Ridgefield Basketball Association, and other educational and extra-curricular activities, PLEASE Sign the Petition and forward this to anyone you know in Ridgefield Schools. Lets show our support for these organizations!
