I am currently serving a 10 year suspension for being a habitual offender, with all three convictions being D.U.I's. I received my first in 1999 or 2000, with the second following extremely close. These resulted in a Class D Felony, with time served as well. The third was received in 2003, but I think the suspension of 10 years did not start until after conviction in 2004. This carried a Class D Felony as well. It is now 2012, and I have not driven or broken any rules of my suspension. I am over half way through my suspension, without any traffic violations at all. I have cleaned my act up and respect all laws in and out of the vehicle. Therefore, I formerly request permission to drive to and from work. I would like to better my employment, but am forced to live 5 miles from employment for transportation issues. I would also like to ask the court for possible permission to pick my children up for visitations or to take for care in case of emergency. It is within a 60 mile radius.
