AZ Governor Jan Brewer is a lethal idiot. She signed a bill allowing weapons with concealed weapons permits into AZ bars and restaurants. Are authorities going to check for a permit AFTER someone is killed Are patrons going to be patted down for weapons and asked to show valid concealed weapons permits when they enter bars and restaurants I don't think so. It does not take a great deal of intelligence to realize that the combination of guns and alcohol are a recipe for disaster and tragedy. The livelihood of musicians, artists, club and restuarant owners are at stake as well as the AZ tourist trade, on which our ecomony depends. Several travel companies have warned against visiting AZ because of this dangerous and moronic bill. Sign this petition to request the repeal of this bill. Bars and restaurants can post signs disallowing guns but taking a gun into a bar banning the weapons would be a misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $500. Big deal! Furthermore. the law includes a partial legal defense. A person would be exempt if the sign banning guns had fallen down, the person wasn't an Arizona resident, or the notice was first posted less than a month earlier. Brilliant! This bill benefits no one in AZ. Would you return to a bar or restaurant in which someone was shot or killed Sign this petition. Guns or any weapons for that matter, have no place in bars or restaurants permitted or not.
