Name: Amber Ukena on Apr 11, 2009Comments: I previously lived in Seattle and we had a similar ordinance which worked very well. I very much support a revised ordinance as suggested here that truly allows city chickens rather than being so restrictive (as it currently is) that citizens may decide to have an illegal coop in order to have city chickens.Flag

Name: Peter Brezny on Apr 12, 2009Comments: Chickens, in addition to being a great source of local food, make fantastic back yard pets. When we had chickens in our back yard, the entire community came together, not only for eggs but just to stop by on a sunny day and watch the chickens in the yard. Building community while reducing energy consumption through local agriculture--everyone wins!Flag
