40 % of Americans voted and most congressmen were elected with little more than half the voters in their districts. That means that 60% of the people didn't vote, so approximately 20% of the American people voted in the new congress. Americans have a tendency to think they are indestructible and don't need health care, but that just isn't true. Everyone needs health care to stop bleeding money from those who do have health care. These people use emergency rooms for their care. This makes small hospitals unable to get the latest equipment, and keeps the rest of us insurance poor. Unless and until every American is required to have insurance we will all have inflated health care bills. I want congress to receive so many letters, emails, phone calls and whatever on the first day of congress so that there is no doubt in their minds that they didn't have a mandate to change the American Health Care Reform act.
