Name: Kimbell Gabor on Oct 7, 2009Comments: Thank you for advocating like this. My daughter (has autism) completely agrees. Our family has always embraced her and we have known from the start that she is a person first and someone with a disability second.

Name: Judy Endow on Oct 7, 2009Comments: As an autistic adult, a mom of an autistic son, an author and a professional in the field of autism I encourage everyone to not only sign this petition, but to move your support and financial contributions to one of the many other more reputable autism organizations where families affected by autism in your community will benefit. Thank you so much. Judy Endow.

Name: Sher Valenzuela on Oct 7, 2009Comments: Autism Speaks is a machine that has learned how to raise money from well meaning sponsors == money that then has no impact on members of the autistic community and in fact insults and diminishes their existance.

Name: Sam Bartlow on Oct 7, 2009Comments: I personally find the teachings of Autism Speaks goes against my values as a Christian by showing autistic people as being burdens and accusing us of disrupting marriages. People make their own choices and must be called to account for their own attitudes rather than scapegoating someone else.
