Everyone has seen the media of children with autism wandering. It has resulted in drownings, kidnapping and deaths.Children with autism do not have the fear they need, to be safe. please sign this petion.
it is 2 fold, let drivers be aware that autistic children in the area to drive carefully and also if drivers see a child who can't or won;t respond to realize the child is autistic and call police. I have a child with autism, non verbal and so does the neighbor, Olathe, Kansas just gave excuses. I really think it is necessary as my son has wandered off several times. I was very lucky to not have anything bad happen. Stats are now 1 in 68 children will have some form of autism. We have to protect them.
