    Comments: Women need more choices in childbirth not less. This recommendation of the MSR, if implemented, will continue the witch hunt of midwifery, take choices away from women, and result in more women birthing unassisted because they cannot face the loss of control that comes with birthing in our medical system.

    Comments: I have had a home birth with an independant midwife and i have birthed in both a public and private hosptials and I will never go back to a hospital to have a baby after the way i was treated in both. By stopping midwives in private practice you are taking away a womans right to choose where and how she gives birth.

    Comments: I sought the services of an independant midwife for my second birth after the public health service failed me, my baby and my family during my first pregnacy and birth. I will deffinately be doing the same again as the public system has failed me again when my infant needed medical attention following birth. Please help address this problem - discrimination against women is a crime.

    Comments: As a homebirther planning a third child I would not feel comfortable without a midwife and would be devastated to be forced to go to hospital to birth. That it should be illegal for a midwife to care for me at home is just unthinkable to me.

    Comments: My nephew was delivered by midwives, at a home birth. I have never seen a more healthy, happy and loving child, who will turn 3 in June. A woman has her RIGHTS, and these should not be taken away, from either parents!
