After the problems I have had with it, and with the total lack of support from the local dealers, if it wasn't for Aussie Buell Riders I definitely wouldn't have kept it.Flag

Name: Neil Moore on Apr 17, 2007Comments: Harley-Davidson and Buell should be ashamed of themselves in attempting to shut down a web site for and about Buell riders. Harley-Davidson and Buell motor companies should focus on serving their customers with better information, better parts availability, better dealers, better mechanics, better motorcycles and less predatory behaviour. The people on Aussie Buell Riders.com truly care for their Buells, and have afforded me more camaraderie as a Buell rider than any other website, including Buell.com. Harley riders treat me like dirt because I don't ride a Harley, and Jap bike riders treat me like I'm some kind of Hell's Angel because of the negative connotation of being affilliated with H-D. I also ride a Harley-Davidson, but the H-D patch on the back of my jacket is on upside-down because of the constant barage of boutique behaviour by H-D dealers. If H-D and Buell push this, I will probably abandon them forever, and go buy whatever YamaKawaHonZuki I can find. This is outrageous, and I may abandon H-D/Buell no matter the result of this.Flag

Name: James H on Apr 17, 2007Comments: Well i started Aussie Buell Riders to talk about buells and meet like minded owners that loved buell had had a thirst for buell knowledge. Over the past 4 years i have met and ridden with some great people and forged many friendships with people not only in Australia but around the world. Remember Australia never had the opportunity of BRAG so we created our own. Now buell the company we supported is going to try and take it away. Well done EB and HD i hope your share price goes up!Flag

Name: Jeff Smith on Apr 17, 2007Comments: 1/ I don't believe they have a leg to stand on as far as telling anyone to remove buell from the middle of an entire string of text -- My opinion Bluff 2/ They cannot demand the website name. Website names are first come - first served. My opinion - Retract your offer to let them have the web name 3/ The seppos will step on you for use of the Buell name on any non authorised goods 4/ The rest of us can E-Mail every site assotiated with Buell and express our disgust. 5/ Change the site name to ABR and tell the seppos to go Fuc* em selves.Flag

Name: Mark Barnes on Apr 17, 2007Comments: I am amazed what is happening to the ABR forum. I have just bought a Buell xb12s and love it. I used to have Jap bikes since 1982 and never thought I wouldChanged, until a mate told me about ABR, Which is when I saw the light; the people who are on this site are very passionate about Buell, And promote the bikes, they are also supportive and help with bike problems, unlike the HD dealers here. It would be criminal to stop this site. It does nothing but good for Buell in Australia. Thanks Mark. an Aussie Buell Rider.Flag

Name: Captain on Apr 17, 2007Comments: Buell Australia are just very, very wrong here. How can they honestly destroy a culture that has been built up by the very owners that support their company (And the sales of Buell motorcycles pays their wages!) This is a black spot in Buell's history. Karma will get them.Flag

May even consider giving up on Harley Davidson also. What is Buell thinking And, to what end Sounds like a bunch of folks at Buell have too much time on their hands.Flag

Name: Buellbabe on Apr 17, 2007Comments: ABR is all about sharing stories and advice with fellow Buellers. It has been an invaluable source of information for many of us. It does not detract from Buell in any way,it is a positive way for Buell riders in the southern hemishere ( and around the world) to form friendships and gain new riding mates!Flag

Name: Michael Forsythe on Apr 17, 2007Comments: In the absence of any sort of official rider group of forum in Australia, riders create their own not-for-profit sites and forums to assist each other in maintaining and modifying their bikes, as well as being able to communicate with like-minded riders. This can only serve to encourage the sales of Buell motorcycles, spare parts and accessories. Buell/HD's approach to eliminating one of the things that could keep them alive is a mistake.Flag

Name: Will Reid ( Willis) on Apr 17, 2007Comments: I think that it shows utter disrespect for the owners of Buell motorcycles, we have spent our hard earned money to buy our bikes. this forum is only here to help fellow Buell enthusiasts share their knowledge and experiences. For a big company to try this overhand tactics on their customer is a load of horse shite. Sham on you Buell and HD.Flag
