Teachers should not be punished because of defiant or uncontrollable students. They should not be punished because a student is haviong a hard time understanding English. This will cause problems in student grouping and cause frction beteween team mates. A school community (which is hard to find in mist schools) would be ruined.Flag

It is a knee-jerk reaction to an issue that up until now I didn't realize was such an overwhelming problem in school districts. Please do not pass this legislation!Flag

Name: Tamara Fleming on Apr 30, 2010Comments: I teach high risk students, lots of special Ed and ESL, how is this fair? I get students in 9th grade who read on a 3rd grade level, how can any standardized test work for them? They can show growth, but only if the test is fair and at an appropriate level for them!Flag

Name: Jane Gentile on May 1, 2010Comments: Students have no incentive to do their best on CSAP test. In Contrast the SAT and ACT exams are taken by the individuals who have a stake in the outcome. You are very wrong to pass this bill..you have no idea what goes on in some of these class rooms or schools...I believe that money is involved and that is why you want to pass this bill...God Bless Our Teachers...if this bill passes who will want to go in debt to go to collage to be a teacher and wonder if you will have a job after one or two years of teaching.....Flag
