Comments: Allowing ALL patients to have an option in their healthcare is a good thing and after the tax forgiveness period ends, Grand Forks will benefit from the tax contribution not to mention from the additonal revenue generated by people working/living in the Grand Forks community.

Comments: The Aurora Medical Hospital meets the City of Grand Forks criteria for tax abatement as outlined by Mel Carson at the most recent City Council Meeting. I am very much in favor of the City of Grand Forks approving this tax abatement and adding revenues to the economic foundation of Grand Forks through revenues generated by the Aurora Medical Hospital.

Comments: I would suggest that the city council treat the proposed new Aurora hospital the same as the exisitng Altur hopsital for the next five years and do not charge taxes. After the five year abatement Aurora will then pay taxes. This new hospital will attract new high pay Medical professionals, will offer an alternative source of medical service and may attact current residents that are leaving the area to seek medical services elsewhere.

Comments: All new buissnesses deserve a fair playing field. The inference that competition in Grand Forks will drive up medical costs doesn't make any sense to anyone with "real world" experience.
