The current South Australian state government appears to be oblivious to the importance of having a successful A-League club representing our state, let alone one that excels at the international level.

It's appalling that the Wetherill government continues to turn a blind eye to Adelaide United FC's achievements in Asia, while at the same time throwing many millions of dollars at the AFL, despite grass-roots football (soccer) being our kid's sport of choice.

Accordingly, we the undersigned implore the Premier of South Australia Hon Jay Weatherill MP to provide Adelaide United FC with a fairer rental plan for Hindmarsh Stadium, for at least the 2012/13 A-League season.

After a terrible domestic campaign, we are re-building for all South Australians, but we need your help Premier Weatherill.

For the future of our game, Adelaide United FC must stay at Hindmarsh Stadium.
