Please leave comments: WWII was a long time ago; My Papa fought in WWII; he has passed & yet his memory still lives. We need to give Audie Leon Murphy the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We need to do more to honor the men who fought in Europe to stop Germany from running over the countries around them. We need to honor the men who fought in the Pacific to protect our country from attacks on our Western Shores. I remember when the last Civil War Veteran died in 1956; I was 5 years old; but I remember my folks telling me about it. We need to remember our history. It is a proud history. It is only the right thing to do; give Presidential Medal of Freedom Petition to Audie Leon Murphy.
