Name: Dolores Cocuzzo on Mar 4, 2012State (Required): MassachusettsCountry: United StatesPlease leave comments: I truly believe that Audie should have received this years ago. He is dead now going on 41 years. This generation does not remember Audie with exception of Texas and where he died in Virginia. His story is so tragic; a really poor boy who lived in awful conditions; helped his family because his father left, and went to serve his country to help support his siblings - then at his age and his stature accomplished the unbelievable in the war. Why can't he be given this honor? Why can't Hollywood tell his story so the youth now can see what a humble man he was and what a true patriot! Why didn't President Bush award this to his fellow Texan? I hope God is watching over Audie because I know he is now at peace with his comrades! Thank you for this petition!Flag
