For many years residents of parts of the Midwest had a regional choice for their cellular phone and internet air card service, Centennial Wireless. Although a small company in stature against the giants Centennial was always known to have impeccable service, not only in the city, but also in the rural area's they serviced. However, in November of 2009 AT&T's acquisition of Centennial was finalized and aside from bringing 3G service (although they call it 4G, even without the proper "backhaul" in place to classify as that under AT&T and T-Mobile's own made up definitions) the service in well over 75% of the area's formally serviced by Centennial have experienced a major service degradation. With an impending merger with T-Mobile looming, we as residents who are locked into service agreements are fed up. We are asking for an FCC investigation into the mishaps and apparent mismanagement by AT&T that have led to a degradation of the service that we so can at the very least experience the type of service that Centennial provided us years ago. We've waited long enough for the issues to be cured, but they are only continuing to get worse. - We have dead spots where they were not before - We've been promised access to a high speed network that has never came - We drop calls at an alarming rate on much more expensive phones than we ever did before - We have trouble sending text messages, our calls go straight to voicemail more often than we even know about - We experience service outages of some sort almost monthly WE ARE FED UP!
