| 503 | Lauren Olson | Week of April 1st, 2009 – Telephone conversation with AT&T rep., Johnnie Trujillo. He told me of special on AT&T wireless air cards. There was no sign up fee or shipping. He said it was $60 per month. I told him that I didn’t travel enough to justify that. I used the internet in the hotel and paid at most $9.95 per night. He told me there were others with less memory for either $20 per month or $40 per month. I told him that I understood “memory” on a memory stick, but didn’t understand what it meant when it came to an air card. He said that if I opened a document or saved a document, it used up memory. I asked if it used up memory just to be on the internet. He said “no”. I clarified that if I did not open a document or save a document but just checked my email, then all I would need was the minimum memory. He confirmed that that was the case. I agreed to the $20 per month air card. I received it and used it the first month. When I received my first bill, the air card charge was $312.85. I called Mr. Trujillo the week of June 3rd and he said that he would have to put me through to the wireless department. I spoke to Dawn and explained what Mr. Trujillo had told me. She said that he had not documented anything about our conversation in the file and that she could not do anything about it. I told her that it was not my fault that he did not do his job correctly. I called Mr. Trujillo back and he said that he did not have the authority to reverse it, but he would have his supervisor call me. No one ever called me. I called Mr. Trujillo’s number many times and just got his voice mail, so I left many messages. Still no return call or call from a supervisor.
June 10, 2009 – Called wireless department and spoke with Diane Lane. I explained the situation to her and she said that she could credit me $242 and suggested that I upgrade to the $60 per month plan to prevent any overage charges. I agreed, but after thinking about it, I decided that I could not justify the $60 per month and just wanted to cancel it.
On June 16th, I called the main AT&T number to complain that Mr. Trujillo or his supervisor had not called me back. They put me through to his department and I spoke with Dominique. He said that Mr. Trujillo had been promoted and that he would be my new rep. I told him that Mr. Trujillo’s customers were left hanging and I told the story to him as well. He said that he would have to talk to his supervisor and he would have to call me back. I called him back on June 17th and he put me on hold to talk to his supervisor (Marilyn Shannon). He said that she was swamped and she would get back to me, but it could take up to a week. I told him that was not acceptable.
June 17th, I called the main AT&T number to try to get this cleared up because I continue to be charged for a service I do not want and am not using. I was put through to Blane White. He discouraged me from discontinuing the air card. He said that since I was credited the $242, that the auditing department would reverse that refund if I cancelled the air card even if I paid the $165 early termination fee.
I believe I was given false and misleading information. This is deceptive trade practices. I do not have a written contract. If my commitment to enter into this agreement was recorded, then Mr. Trujillo’s claim should be on that recording. In addition, customer service has been appalling.
I want to discontinue the air card and I want my money back. |

SERV. & INNOTRAC CORP. NO ONE KNEW WHY OR WOULD NOT TELL ME WHY WE RECEIVED THESE PHONES. I SPENT MORE THAN AN HOUR TRYING TO GET THIS COST REMOVED FROM MY BILL. OFF COURSE THEY COULD NOT HELP ME.
I HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY WITH AT&T SINCE THEY TOOK OVER BELLSOUTH. WE HAVE AT&T WIRELESS, HOME PHONE, COMPUTER. WE HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE WHEN WE TRY TO GET SOMETHING DONE OR HELP WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE.
--INTERNET GOES DOWN FAIRLY OFTEN.
--HAD PROBLEMS WITH WIRELESS GETTING MY DAUGHTERS NAME ON HER PHONE - THEY HAD MY NAME - WE HAVE A FAMILY PLAN.
--NOW WE RECEIVE THESE PHONES WE DID NOT ORDER.
THESE ARE JUST OUR RECENT PROBLEMS.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OF NO HELP SO THEY SEND YOU TO 2 OR 3 OTHER PLACES THAT IS OF NO HELP.

I also found out that West does telemarketing for AT&T, this is a fact.
I have called AT&T on numerous occasions and reported this fact, and all I get is the run around, " this is not the department that handles that, let me refer you to blah, blah, blah.
I tried doing this on the internet with them, and it was worse.
I have also called West and asked them to please stop the harassment, and they did agree to do so.
I am on the"do not call" list also.
Bottom line, the calls continue and I feel like I am in an alternate universe, and no one is listening.
Anything that you can suggest or do to help would be greatly appreciated.

What I got was Direct Tv who missed three appointments which i had to arrange someone to be here, a technician who drilled a hole in my beautiful hardwood floor two inches away from the wall, deceptive pricing, repeatedly (have to spend hours every month on the phone trying to get what they promised), rooms that I pay for service with no tv service, not ONE but TWO DSL receivers that I do not need, they promised to send a "return" label so I could send it back but I never received it and continued to be billed for TWO, a "supervisor" appointment to look at the damage - who did not show up or call, and my bill is 121.67 PLUS direct TV at $40.99 per month. When I call them (hours on the phone) Direct says I have to call AT&T, AT & T says they will set my bill straight for what they promised and the next bill comes as the same over priced bill. THIS IS ATT&T HELL. Who is going to help me? |

| 509 | Detra | Oh my God, attempting to cancel an order that was put in by a poor tech support person has been a nightmare. A week ago, our internet service went down. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with Tech Support, he recommended that we get a new modem. 10 minutes after putting in the order our internet service returned, I called to cancel the order and was told it could not be done. Ms. Amos in customer service told me that my only recourse was to deny receipt when the modem arrived. Of course UPS dropped it at my door and there was no chance to turn down delivery. After speaking with tech support again and speaking with an arrogant billing agent, I stll have a modem in my hands. Frustration does not begin to describe how I feel at this time. I am at the mercy of a not so bright, but very arrogant billing clerk and the US postal service. I cannot speak with a manager or supervisor to complain or get the situation resolved. |
| 510 | Philip Gorecki | i am permantly disabled with PTSD on april 27 we went to a att store we purchaced u verse and digital phones plus computer service because you recieved iphones at a reduced price and the salesman said i would benefit from the apps. the GPS has no voice we took the phones back 5-10 and 5-25 they refused to take them back saying the 30 days is up apple says 30 days from when u buy there product. ATT said there was no manager there both days but a new update is coming out that will make the gps guide u with a voice a gps is usless if you drive and look at it you will get ticketed in il and a accident is sure to happen. well no voice apple makes no app But ATT has a monthly service u buy there GPS to update the phone. My sister who cares for me bought this phone paying hundreds more then ever to make my life easier. the manager of the att store said he will disipline his employees i said i have ptsd and must have a GPS to go anywhere out of the neighborhood. i asked him what about me he said i guess you are shit out of luck. he made sure he told both employees involved to go in the backroom first. I told him please never speak to me like that you have no clue who i am i could have snapped. instead i am hiding in my bedroom afraid of people in suits now and no gps |

There was no label and an attempt was made to call about information to recieve such a label and I was told I would be responsible for the return of the equipment after speaking with at least 5 people who coul not reolve my issue. |

From a person that changed from dial up to high speed and to realize that I have been sold a bill of goods that did not even close to high speed, but DSL, which is as fast as my dial up!
I have not been given a correct bill that reflects the new services or what was promised.
I am not a happy camper , but thanks that there is another game in town that will afford me that services that I have waited for and requested.
Pending that results of this communication and the communication pending BBB, I will be making a decisions.
Another good reason for subjecting my self to this comes from the wonderful interactions with the many humans that I verbally communicated with on numerous occasions. |

The deals never happened but they did manage to add a bunch of services I did not request to my bill, when I complained I was bounced around for over two hours, nobody seems to have the authority to remove any services or reimburse you for fraudulent charges. Eventually I did resolve the issue. Bt customer Service is terrible. |
