Sales reps do not disclose a 90 day waiting period for international service in their effort to avoid fraud on accts. This leaves many consumers traveling overseas without service once they arrive or once they switch over providers find out they cant make or receive international calls. |

I have been told that this email will be read by you personally. I hope that is correct. I just don’t have any trust in anything regarding AT&T. I am a long time loyal but now a very dissatisfied and extremely distressed AT&T customer.
Knowing that you are very busy man, I will there-fore get right to the point:
On April 30th , I made the biggest mistake of my life when I called AT&T and wanted to switch from Vonage to AT&T. I had a dry loop DSL line with AT&T at that time. This process took one hour and thirty one minutes in which I was transferred to four different departments. Finally, I was told my DSL and land line will be under one no. effective May 7th.
On May 5th I got a call that due to difficulty in porting the no. from Vonage, the service will be installed on May 12. I did not like it but I was told they were terribly backed up and can not do it sooner. I had no choice.
That is when the nightmare began. The dry loop connection department was not informed of this delay and they cut off my internet service on May 7th as originally scheduled as did Vonage. I suddenly found myself without the land line and internet.
I spent the next day on my cell phone with AT&T trying to understand what happened to my internet. Finally, after being kicked around to several departments I was told they made a mistake but there was nothing they could do because restoring dry loop will take 5 work days.
May 12th came and went, nothing happened. I was told there was a problem that can not be fixed until May 15th because every body is too busy.
Mr. Stephenson, today is May 15th and at 6:45 PM, I called the Expedite department and was told that my service ticket has not even been assigned yet. It will not happen today. Some body will call me to let me know the new schedule.
During this time my family and I have suffered tremendously at the hands of inept AT&T operators. I am most perturbed by their casual and insensitive attitude towards distressed customers. I am not sure how seriously you take these things. I called your office yesterday and was told I could not talk to you. The took my complaint and said somebody would get back to me within 24 hours. No body has called. Am I to assume that it is AT&T’s culture to treat customers this way! I think not.
I have now placed a call to your customer service and been hold for the last 19 minutes. I am cancelling the order and going with Time Warner cable that has similar services in our area.
Please make sure that I don’t get any bill of any kind from AT&T. I thought I was an isolated case but found that there are so many others who have been wronged by AT&T. See the attached web site: http://www.bigwebs.com/webs/att/

I call them they apologize and say they will call back and again. they never do anything to resolve the issue. Whenever you say you have issues they say they are working on it or call you back and they dont. They try and hold you until after the 30 days so they can charge you a cancellation fee. They are very deceptive and are not willing to admit they are having problem with the iphone and the att service. |

| 493 | George Fletcher | On May 12 2009 I was misinformed by an att rep in regards to signing me up to Direct TV when I was still a customer throught Att Dish Network. I ended up having two Satellite Services and being billed by on Dish on my Att monthly bill and separate bill by Direct TV. So I had to cancel Dish because there cancelation fee was less the the Direct TV. I was advised to to this. I never could get a supervisor of att on the line. I will be billed for $160 cancelation fee by Dish Network. I do believe that att should pay the $160 cancelation fee. I have already contacted my atty and waiting a respond from him. |
