Name: O Vendetta on Apr 12, 2006Comments: I was intrigued to see someone finally stand up for their country on this nuclear issue and i must say its very impressive if we look it at from the biased side. Sure we can allow Iran to get its hands on Nuclear technology but is it the best thing I think not because of its past terror links which i persume the author of this petition overlooked. If you read into Irans past you will notice its support that its given to terror organisations such as PLO(now stopped all terror activities) and Black september for example. If you are into International Relations then you should know about Munich 1972. Terrorists from black septmer shocked the world by taking hostages of the Isreali atheletes and because of their greed and unpeaceful manner, all isreali atheletes were killed. A victory for a Palestinian organisation backed by Iran. We need not look to the past to gain any trust of Iran with nuclear technology because the current president is doing a bad job at gaining any. His remarks on Isreal for example. Why is it that other countries in the middle east seem to have no problem with Isreal but Iran and Palestine(Ofcourse they want a homeland but everything should be settled peacefully). Trusting Iran with nuclear Technology would be suicidal since it brings religion into politics(read tehran times October). Religion and politics do not go just as how religion and science doesnt go. I am signing this petition just to counter sign its topic. No Nuclear technology for Iran because its not for a peaceful manner!Flag

There is a lot of proof that Iran has sponsored terrorism in the past with such organizations as PLO. IF you look into financial transactions that took place you will see large sums of money being transferred from Iranian organizations to the PLO. Remember Iran keeps its money in Swiss banks and these transactions are recorded. Islamic revolution is 21-22 years old Where is your source for this Or you made it up It took place in 1979. It was ofcourse aimed at overthrowing the Shah. People do not wake up one day and say lets kick this guy out. It takes time to implement these ideas into peoples heads. Now picture this. You would like to gain power but do not have enough men to do that. So lets help another group who need a country. By doing this when its time to take on our movement we will have supporters from abroad ready to come fend off any resistance. This answers you question of the Olympic tragedy. Ayotallah Khomeini was exiled in France and he though up of a state run by Islam way before the revolution (it was his ideology).
